The definition of hope is: the confident expectation that someone or something will prevail.

So when we have hope in someone, it's the belief that they can help make that specific thing happen.

We place our hope in so many people—our spouse, kids, family, friends, boss, co-workers, teammates, etc....

Joy is more than happiness. Non-believers describe it as elation, jubilation, glee, triumph, bliss, ecstasy, rapture, and exhilaration. 

But biblical joy is choosing to respond to external circumstances with inner contentment and satisfaction because you have faith and hope in our Lord Jesus Christ...

Perseverance, according to Merriam-Webster, is the continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition.

And perseverance is hard. Especially when the task at hand seems impossible. It is so much easier to throw in the towel and say, “I did good enough”.
